Hi, I'm Ben Pagliuca. I am a freshman currently majoring in Business Administration as well as trying to minor in Spanish and I work as a sales consultant. Other than school and work I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I try to be as active as I can. DNMG is a spirited, productive work environment and is a place I come in excited to see what I have for the day!

Hello, I’m Charlie Trofholz. I am a Freshman Finance Major from Elkhorn, Nebraska. I’m currently one of the sales consultants with the DNMG. Aside from that, I am a Client Relations Manager at Farm Bureau. I am also apart of Wall Street Scholars of Nebraska, The Husker Venture Fund, and The Inclusive Business Leaders.

Hi! My name is Jessica Black and I am the Social Media Specialist. I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and a cornhusker at heart. I am an Advertising and Public Relations major with a minor in Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design. Outside of college, you can find me in a cycling class, coaching high school cheerleading or trying out a new brunch spot with my sister!

Hi, I'm from Omaha, NE, and currently a junior Advertising and Public Relations major with a minor in Ethnic Studies here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to working here at DNMG I am a member of two clubs here on campus: Afrikan Peoples Union and PRSSA. I'm so happy to have DNMG apart of my journey!

Hi everyone! My name is Evi Schock, and I am the Event Coordinator for the DNMG. I am currently a Junior majoring in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management with an emphasis in events and a minor in Leadership and Communication. I spend my free time listening to music - especially Harry Styles, road tripping with my friends, and creating crochet clothing for my small business.

Hello! I'm from Omaha, Nebraska, and I am a senior BFA Graphic Design major! In addition to DNMG, I am also a designer for Dance Marathon and I occasionally do some freelance work, but my dream career would be to design for Meow Wolf. Outside of school and work, I love to read, listen to music, and pet my cat, Pickles.

I work as the Office Coordinator here at the DNMG and I am excited to be working alongside such a fun and driven staff. Alongside my position at the DNMG, I am the Editor-in-Chief of UNL’s satire publication, The DailyER.

Hello! My name is Abi, and I am one of the Graphic Designers for DNMG! I am a sophomore Emerging Media Arts Major with a Studio Art Minor. With my free time I love taking on freelance projects, and working on my portfolio. I love coming to work every day to help create the advertisements for our events and clients!
Professional Advisors
I joined the Daily Nebraskan Media Group in March 2020, at the start of the pandemic. After three weeks in the office we moved to working remotely, which made for an interesting start. Prior to DNMG, I worked in sales & marketing at the Lincoln Journal Star for 11 years and Nebraska Public Media for three. While at the JLS I created and rolled out the inaugural Lincoln’s Choice Awards, which is currently in it’s 11th year running. During that time I finetuned my craft and found my passion for helping businesses thrive through unique marketing opportunities. I graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a degree in Communications. I currently live in Lincoln with my two sons and in my spare time enjoy cooking, going to concerts and spending time at the beach.
I’ve been the GM since July 2019 when my wife, two young daughters and I moved from Des Moines – the place I finished the second phase of my career as a senior editor for Gannett (Des Moines and Springfield, MO). I am responsible for all financial matters of the DN and collaborate with the student newsroom to chart the organization’s vision. I’m obsessed with our two dogs, whatever music my daughters like and the St. Louis Cardinals.
